Kim Robinson

Kim Robinson - Chairman

BSc (Geology)

Mr Kim Robinson is the Non-Executive Chairman of Apex Minerals. He is a founding Director and is also currently Executive Chairman of Kagara Zinc Limited. He graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1973 with a degree in Geology and has 29 years experience in the minerals exploration and mining industries.

In addition to the successful development of Kagara Zinc's Mt Garnet operations, Kim has been involved in a number of successful mine developments in Western Australia including the Bounty Gold Mine, the Mt McClure Gold Mine, the Cosmos Nickel Mine and the discovery of the Emily Ann and Maggie Hays Nickel deposits.

Mark Ashley

Mark Ashley - CEO and Managing Director

Mr Mark Ashley is the Managing Director of Apex Minerals NL. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and has over 20 years experience in the resources industry.

In 1992, Mark joined Forrestania Gold – which was subsequently acquired by LionOre in 1994 and was with the company through its emergence as a growing international nickel producer up until 31st March, 2006. Mark who was a main board Director and CEO of its Australian operations, left LionOre at that time to run Apex Minerals.

Mark was the founding CEO of Kagara Limited (as a public listed company) and is currently one of its Non-Executive Directors.

Mark has international resource experience having worked in South America, Africa, the United Kingdom, Turkey, China and now Australia.

Robin Lee Sing Leung - Non-Executive Director

Mr Lee is a Non-Executive Director of Apex Minerals NL. He has over 25 years’ extensive experiences in financial and mergers and acquisitions advisory, banking and financing in Hong Kong, China and South Africa, much of which has been focused on the Chinese mineral mining industry. Since 2007, Robin has also been the Chairman and Legal Representative of a Chinese gold mining company. Robin is the Chairman of SSC Mandarin Financial Services Limited, a corporate finance advisory firm registered under the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Ordinance that provides financial advice to international companies with respect to mining industry acquisitions in China. In this capacity, Mr Lee has been active in several restructuring and financing projects relating to the gold and other minerals mining industries in China and has assisted several PRC enterprises in listing on the Hong Kong and Singapore stock exchanges. Prior to founding the SSC Mandarin Group, Robin was the General Manager of Nedcor Asia Limited (“Nedcor”), a Hong Kong restricted licensed bank which parent group is one of the three largest commercial banks in South Africa. While at Nedcor, Robin played a leading role for a prominent state-owned corporation in its then largest overseas acquisition of a chrome mine in South Africa. He also served as Chief Representative of Nedcor's Chinese banking affiliate where he established a business network in China and South Africa and assisted mining companies in identifying acquisition targets and business opportunities in China and South Africa.

 

Matthew Sheldrick - Non-Executive Director

B.COM, CA

Mr Sheldrick spent 10 years in the securities industry being involved with domestic and international institutional clients in relation to Australian resource equities.  He has founded a number of listed companies in the energy and resources sectors, including Eureka Energy Ltd, Gawler Resources Ltd and Black Fire Minerals Ltd and has been involved in the growth of these companies.  He is currently a Non-Executive Director of WAG Ltd and the Non-Executive Chairman of Cohiba Minerals Ltd.  Matthew holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia and is a Chartered Accountant.

 

Michael Andruszkiw - Company Secretary

Mr Andruszkiw is an experienced finance professional with over 12 years experience within public practice, equity markets and large corporate environments.  He most recently held a senior finance position with Leighton Contractors and has also been actively involved with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in the delivery of their CA Program.  Michael holds a Bachelor of Business (double major in Accounting and Finance) from Edith Cowan University in Perth and is a member of both the Institute of Charered Accountants and Institute of Chartered Secretaries.
